Care

Your Ginseng Bonsai comes planted in a well-draining bonsai soil mix so it starts strong — with the right balance of light, water, and patience, it will stay lush and sculptural.

Where to keep it?
Preferably in balcony shade. Alternately at a spot near a window with which gets good sunlight. Low light can cause leaf drop, so avoid dark corners.

How much watering?

  • Consistency is key. It prefers slightly moist soil but dislikes being waterlogged.
  • Check the top 1 inch of soil. If it feels slightly dry, it’s time to water. Water thoroughly until excess drains out from the bottom.
  • In summers: usually once a week. In winters: every 10–14 days (always check soil first).

Other care tips

  • Some leaf drop after bringing it home is normal (adjustment phase).
  • Trim new growth occasionally to maintain its compact shape.
  • Rotate the pot every few weeks for even growth.
  • Clean leaves gently to keep them healthy and dust-free.
