Where to keep it?

Spider plants like bright, indirect light. Too much sun can fade or scorch the leaves; too little light slows growth.

• Best spot: Window Light (bright near a window, light filtered via glass/curtain).
• It can do well in Away from Window Light if the room still gets good daylight.
• Avoid long hours of Direct Sunlight, especially harsh afternoon sun.

How much watering?

The most common issue is inconsistent watering—either staying too wet or drying out for too long. Spider plants store water in thick roots, so they can handle a little dryness.

• Touch the soil and push your finger 1 inch deep.
• If it feels even slightly moist, don’t water.
• If it feels dry, water thoroughly until water drains from the bottom.
• In summers: usually once a week
• In winters: usually once every 10–14 days (Always follow the finger-test over the calendar.)

Other care tips

• Brown tips are common—usually dry air / irregular watering. Trim only the brown part.
• If it sends out “babies,” you can leave them for a fuller look or propagate them.
