Care

At Planterie, we give every plant a healthy start by potting it in the right soil mix. So your plant comes healthy. If you get just a few basics right, it will thrive.

Where to keep it?

Peace lilies do best in bright shade. Too much sun burns; too little light reduces flowering.

  • Best spot: Window Light (bright near a window, light filtered via glass/curtain).
  • It can also do well in Away from Window Light (it will stay healthy, but may flower less).
  • Avoid Direct Sunlight for long hours.

How much watering?

The most common issue is letting it dry out fully, repeatedly (it droops a lot when thirsty). The other mistake is keeping it constantly wet. Aim for steady moisture.

  • Touch the soil and push your finger 1 inch deep.
  • If it feels even slightly moist, don’t water.
  • If it feels dry, water thoroughly until water drains from the bottom.
  • In summers: usually 1–2 times a week
  • In winters: usually once a week (Always follow the finger-test over the calendar.)

Other care tips

  • Drooping usually means it’s thirsty—water, and it often perks up in a few hours.
  • Wipe the leaves once in a while so dust doesn’t block light.
