Aralia in a Book

Where to keep it?

Aralia does best with steady, bright indoor light or a bright shade in outdoors. It also dislikes frequent shifting.

• Keep it in Window Light (bright near a window, light filtered through glass/curtain).
• Avoid Direct Sunlight for long hours (it can stress the leaves).
• Avoid very Away from Window Light corners—growth slows and leaf drop can start.

How much watering?

The most common issue with Aralia is stress from inconsistency—either staying too wet or drying out completely.

• Touch the soil and push your finger 1 inch deep.
• If it feels even slightly moist, don’t water.
• If it feels dry, water thoroughly until water drains from the bottom.
• In summers: usually once a week
• In winters: usually once every 10–14 days (Always follow the finger-test over the calendar.)

Other care tips

• If a few leaves drop after moving it, that’s common—keep it in one stable spot.
• Wipe the leaves once in a while so dust doesn’t block light.
