Description

Meet the Peacock Calathea, a showstopper with foliage that feels like living art. Its bold, feather-like leaves display intricate patterns in deep greens, purples, and silvers. Paired with our modern Grey Geo ceramic planter, it's a combination that balances natural artistry with contemporary design.

Disclaimer:
You may notice slight variations in the miniature elements and plant size compared to the photos, since each arrangement is handcrafted and every plant grows differently.

Care

Your Peacock Calathea comes planted in the right soil mix so it starts healthy — with gentle care and the right environment, its patterned leaves will stay bold and beautiful.

Where to keep it?
Think bright, indirect light.

  • A spot near a window with filtered sunlight or a few feet away from direct light is ideal.
  • Too much direct sun can fade the intricate patterns and cause leaf burn.
  • It also does well in medium light, but avoid very dark corners.

How much watering?

  • Calatheas like consistently lightly moist soil — not dry, not soggy.
  • Check the top 1 inch of soil. If it feels slightly dry, water.
Water thoroughly until excess drains out, but never let it sit in water.
In summers: about once a week. In winters: every 10–12 days (adjust based on room conditions).
  • Humidity matters
This plant loves humidity. Dry air can cause crispy brown edges.
  • Keep away from direct AC airflow and heaters.
If possible, place near other plants or in a naturally humid room.

Other care tips

  • Use filtered or room-temperature water if possible (sensitive to hard water).
  • Wipe leaves gently to keep the patterns clear and dust-free.
Leaves may move up at night — that’s completely normal (it’s called a “prayer” movement).
